Our Vaccinations

We provide a range of CDC‑recommended vaccines to keep you healthy year‑round. See below for options available at Smith County Drug Center Pharmacy.

Covid Vaccines

COVID-19 Vaccine (2025-2026)

Stay protected against the latest circulating variants with the updated Moderna Spikevax. This mRNA vaccine helps prevent severe illness, hospitalization, and long-term complications associated with COVID-19. It is updated annually to match the changing nature of the virus and is recommended for everyone aged 6 months and older, especially those with weakened immune systems.

Seasonal Flu Shot vaccine

Seasonal Flu Shot

Flu strains change every year, which is why an annual flu shot is your best defense. We offer the latest quadrivalent vaccines covering four distinct influenza strains. For our patients aged 65 and older, we provide the specialized High-Dose vaccine, which contains four times the antigen to prompt a stronger immune response, significantly reducing the risk of flu-related complications.

RSV Vaccine

RSV Vaccine (Abrysvo)

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) can cause severe respiratory infections like pneumonia and bronchiolitis. The Abrysvo vaccine is a critical preventive measure authorized for adults aged 60 and older to prevent lower respiratory tract disease. It is also approved for use in pregnant individuals (weeks 32 through 36) to pass protective antibodies to their babies, safeguarding infants from birth through their first six months.

Pneumococcal-Vaccine

Pneumococcal-Vaccine

Guard yourself against pneumococcal pneumonia, meningitis, and bloodstream infections with Prevnar 20. This conjugate vaccine protects against 20 distinct strains of bacteria responsible for the majority of invasive pneumococcal diseases. The CDC recommends this for all adults 65 years or older, and for adults aged 19–64 with certain risk factors (such as diabetes, chronic heart/lung disease, or smoking).

Tdap-Vaccine

Tdap-Vaccine

Tdap is a combination vaccine that protects against three serious bacterial diseases: Tetanus (which enters the body through cuts), Diphtheria, and Pertussis (Whooping Cough). It is crucial for adults to receive a booster every 10 years. It is especially vital for prospective parents, grandparents, and caregivers to prevent passing whooping cough to newborns who are too young to be vaccinated.

Shingles-Vaccine

Shingles-Vaccine

Shingles causes a painful, blistering rash and can lead to long-term nerve pain called postherpetic neuralgia. The recombinant zoster vaccine (Shingrix) provides strong protection—over 90% effective—and is recommended for healthy adults 50 years and older. It is given as a two-dose series (separated by 2 to 6 months) and is recommended even if you have had shingles before.
